      Discourse on woman Summary This lecture by Mott, delivered 17 December , was in response to one by an unidentified lecturer criticizing the demand for equal rights for women. She makes a very gentle appeal here for women's enfranchisement, placing emphasis . Many are the mistakes at present about religious matters; but none are more destructive than those which concern the law and the gospel. The principles set forth in these twelve discourses include the Lord God's unalienable right to make laws for the government of His creatures; the law is unalterable; since the fall of Adam all mankind have broken the moral law which makes no provision for.
